Jaisalmer Desert Festival Tour Package is conducted by Rajasthan Tourism, in the month of February every year, and is renowned among visitors and locals alike with its vibrant splendor. This famous cultural extravaganza comprises of the rich cultural, art and folk shows of not only Jaisalmer region, but the entire state of Rajasthan.

About the Desert Festival
This well-known festival was initiated to attract the tourists who were eager to explore the cultural heritage of Rajasthan in its fullness, in a short span of time. This three day event includes the celebrated Rajasthani folk music and dance performances by prominent professional artists. A tourist help cell is also arranged to assist the tourists in case of any problems during the festival. It draws a huge number of foreigners each year with a wide variety of colourful local performances and competitions.

Once a year, the empty sands around Jaisalmer come alive with a mesmerising performance on the sand dunes in the form of the Desert Festival. The festival, organised by the Department of Tourism around January-February, goes on for three whole days and lets you enjoy the rich and colourful Rajasthani folk culture. Rajasthani men and tall, beautiful women dressed in their best and brightest costumes dance and sing ballads of valour, romance and tragedy, while traditional musicians attempt to outdo each other to showcase their musical superiority. The high points of the festival are puppeteers, acrobats, camel tattoo shows, camel races, camel polo, traditional processions, camel mounted bands, folk dances, etc.

Day 1 : Arrival in Jaipur
We will Pick you up from Jaipur Airport / Railway Station by placard carrying driver and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit Albert Hall Museum, Birla Temple, Heritage bazaar . Overnight Jaipur

Day 2: Jaipur city Tour
Morning tour of Jaipur. Jaipur Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, & the Observatory . Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Afternoon free. Overnight Jaipur.

Day 3: Jaipur – Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur. Upon arrival meet and assistance. Later transfer to your respected Hotel. Evening visit Clock Tower and local market of Jodhpur. Overnight Jodhpur.On the following day, get an assisted transfer to the airport to board the flight for Jodhpur. On arrival, meet our representative for an assisted transfer to your pre- booked hotel. In the afternoon, visit the major tourist attractions of the city including Mehrangarh fort, Umaid Bhavan Palace, Jaswant Thada and Raj Ka Bagh Palace. The evening is scheduled for a visit the beautiful Umed Garden and the Government Museum. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 4: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
After breakfast at the hotel on the 3rd day of the tour, begin your road journey towards Jaisalmer (around 6 hours). Once you reach, complete the check-in formalities at your pre-booked hotel. Thereafter, proceed to visit the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort and the Royal Cenotaphs. Now, visit the venue of the Desert Festival. Spend the rest of the day in enjoying and participating in various programs such as the Turban Tying Competition, Mr. and Miss. Desert, etc. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Jaisalmer
Early morning, you can attend the Mangal aarti at the Gadsisar Lake. Back to the hotel for breakfast. Later, enjoy participating and contributing to your team's win in a Tug of War game- Indians Vs Foreigners. Both men and women participate in this game. Later, test your balancing skills by participating in the Matka race competition. You may also indulge in the games like camel decoration and the camel polo that is sure to leave you amused to the fullest. Later return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 6: Jaisalmer
Start the day by embarking on a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. The major tourist attractions of Jaisalmer include Jain Temples, Bada Bagh, Folklore Museum and the Amar Sagar Lake. Later in the day also visit Salim ji Ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli, which are most striking amongst the other havelis. Then drive to Sam Sand dunes, the venue for the grand finale of the Desert Festival. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 7: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur
In the morning, after breakfast drive to Jodhpur airport to board afternoon flight to your home destinations
